As a family-run, boutique business, we’ve chosen to honour the tradition of dedicated educators who understand that true learning cannot be mass-produced. Our mission is grounded in personal care – the kind that can only come from a team that treats each student as a part of our extended family. We work side-by-side with our families, get to them know well in the process, and ensure we deliver lesson-after-lesson with the same Consistency, Clarity and Calm for which we have become known.
Our team brings together exceptional academic achievers and experienced educators. Led by Luca Petterlin and Alexander Sarossy – two of the state’s highest achieving VCE students and current Medical students – our expertise spans across educational consulting, curriculum development, teaching at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels, and academic research. ATAR STAR TUITION is not run by amateur or novice educators – between them, they have driven school-wide Masterplans for Learning Transformation, supported the development of assessment for VCE students, and used data analytics to foster learner growth at individual and cohort levels.
Their journey to working in education began when Luca and Alexander themselves went through their schooling, achieving perfect scores, being named College Duces and receiving the VCE Premier’s Awards along the way. Since then, we have been humbled and have much gratitude for the trust our parent and school clients have given us in the opportunities we’ve had to work alongside them. We take none of this for granted, and have relished the opportunity to develop a broad, enduring scope of practice.
Ultimately, it is this depth of experience that shapes our unique approach to tutoring – one that works in harmony with schools, complements the efforts of classroom teachers, and upholds our unwavering commitment to excellence for all students.
